Biography:
Dagmar and Tilman Neubronner are the parents of Moritz (11) and Thomas (9) Neubronner. Unschooling their kids since October 2005, sued their state because refusal of permission, emigrated from Germany January 2008 after severe persecution (penalty fines of at last 7500 EURO, bailiff, accounts blocked and “further means” threatened).
The family is very present in the media and well known by several TV-appearances, radio interviews and newspaper articles.
Dagmar’s first book “Die Freilerner – unser Leben ohne Schule” will be available in a few days (end of May). Dagmar and Tilman edited the German edition of The Teenage Liberation Book/Das Teenager Befreiungs Handbuch (Grace Llewellyn) and of Gordon Neufeld’s book “Hold on to your kids/ Unsere Kinder brauchen uns” about attachment research. Dagmar is writing a book together with Gordon Neufeld now, to be published during his European seminar trip in September 2008.
Topics:
- Dagmar will tell about the results of attachment research as the foundation for understanding why and when schools fail and why and when unschooling works. It is very important to see the whole picture of attachment structures in our society, since our future depends from our children – unschooled and schooled.
What’s our vision of how we want to live with our kids?
- Tilman will discuss the advisory opinion by jurist Goldbecher (“Goldbecher-Gutachten”), a pioneer work regarding the legal and constitutional conditions for freedom of education in Germany. Are there real legal problems or is it just a problem of the recent legal practice? Which are the possible ways to reach freedom of education in Germany?
